A: It is counted from the date on your vignette sticker (the start date of your visa)

Q: Given that commence date of counting Continuous Residence starts when u enter UK. If I enter UK, one year after my Visa application is successful, but the visa is valid for 5 years. So after 5 years, I had only completed 4 years continuous residence requirement, but my visa is expired.
Please advise if BNO visa will be automatic extended or need to apply extended be required.
A: The commence date of counting Continuous Residence starts when u enter UK. Your visa will only be activated when you enter uk and the 5 years will start on the day of your entry to UK and not on the date of your application.
